The Greenkeepers Shed Closure
Our much-loved neighbourhood café, The Greenkeepers Shed, will close on Friday 23 June. It’s a bittersweet moment, as our team have done an incredible job in offering our bowling members and the local community great food, tap beer and great coffee, whilst we worked on progressing the redevelopment of the club.
Following the Development Application approval last year, the time has now come for construction at the Warrigal Street site to commence. Pleasingly for members, the two undercover bowling greens, which were part of our original amalgamation proposal with The Greens will be the first stage of the project to be completed.
While construction of the new bowling greens takes place, members will be able to continue their roll ups on the greens over at Mingara with a playing schedule that meets the needs of both clubs. Members are preparing to welcome players from The Greens and will provide facilities on the edge of bowling green 2 at Mingara to enable the safe storage of bowls equipment.
Along with our bowling members, our wonderful team from The Greens will join us over at Mingara during the construction phase.
We trust members will enjoy using the facilities at Mingara as we undertake this exciting project. Please remember you can use your membership card from The Greens to access members pricing on food and drink when you’re visiting Mingara.
