Changes for bowling members of The Greens, The Entrance

In anticipation of the commencement of construction of the new club house at The Greens in early 2023, it is necessary for us to make some changes to the use of the existing bowling greens at the club.

As we make way for our building project to commence from mid-end June 2023, it will be necessary for us to close the remaining operational bowling greens at the end of the Pennants competition. From 23 June 2023, Bowls activities will be relocated to Mingara, where members will be welcome to enjoy their usual bowls schedule while construction of the new state-of-the-art undercover canopy and bowling greens is underway.

We estimate the drainage and civil works to be completed in July and the canopy structure will commence at the completion of this work. Construction of the new synthetic bowling greens will commence once the canopy is finished. We anticipate the new bowling greens will be ready for play early in 2024.

These works will also impact trade of The Greenkeepers Shed. The café will be closed whilst the construction of the bowling greens and canopy structure take place. Our wonderful team from the café/bar will also be relocated to work at Mingara for the duration of the project. We will reopen The Greenkeepers Shed in early 2024 in time for the new Pennants season.

This is a great opportunity for members to continue their usual bowls and social activities and a chance to form new connections and engage in friendly play with Mingara bowling members.

It gives us great pleasure to commence this project for The Greens as we deliver on our amalgamation promise to members and the local community. We look forward to bringing members further updates, as we progress through the construction project for The Greens.
