Commencement of Demolition
We are pleased to advise members of The Greens and the local community of a significant milestone in the redevelopment of the club house at The Greens – The Entrance, following the electrical fire that devastated and closed the club in March 2020.
The demolition process of the damaged club building will commence on Monday 13 September. After a lengthy process working with consultants and our insurer, this is a positive step forward for members and the local community as we work towards rebuilding our club.
The appointed contractor will commence on site on Monday. This includes the set-up of site sheds, equipment, and amenities on Green 3 to enable the works to be carried out. During these demolition works the covered space between Green 2 and 3 will be demolished.
The demolition project is expected to take approximately 10 weeks. Throughout this period our contractor will maintain all expected site safety requirements and be respectful to our neighbours.
In good news, we have lodged the development application for the build of the new club with Central Coast Council.
