The much-anticipated opening of our newly built club at The Greens – The Entrance, towards the end of this year, has been unexpectedly stalled.

We have received advice from a service authority that they are unable to schedule work to connect essential services to our site until early 2025. This circumstance is completely unforeseen and is a direct result of an on-going industrial dispute that not only affects the development project at The Greens – The Entrance, but many other construction, urban development and infrastructure projects across NSW.

Along with our community, we are extremely frustrated and disappointed. Our team has worked tirelessly, alongside our contractor, Collaborative Construction Solutions, to ensure our project timeline has been achieved. The $21 million project has run on time and without incident, sadly, not achieving essential service connection as planned will impact our ability to open our new club at The Greens – The Entrance, before the end of the year as we had anticipated and advised our members.

At this stage, there is no firm advice of when this connection can take place, only the suggestion it will not be scheduled before March 2025.

The impacts of this on our project are significant, as we are forced to pause, during our critical pre-opening phase. To remobilise our partners, contractors, suppliers and our team once we have confirmation that a connection can be achieved, also comes with its own timeline and challenges. However, the commitment from all these parties will ensure the final pre-opening phase is completed as swiftly as possible once connection advice from the authority is received.

While we wait, our great new state-of-the-art undercover bowling greens, along with service from The Greenkeepers Shed will still be available for our members to enjoy.

Our team will be on-site at The Greens at 9.30am on Wednesday 30 October to discuss this setback with our members if you would like further information or have any questions.
